الحب كلمة رقيقة تصف المشاعر الكامنة للكائنات، وتعبر عن ميل تجاه شخص (أو شيء)، وهذا الميل، غالباً، ما يكون مرتبطاً برغبة الاقتراب منه. ويصفونه بأنه سر غامض، في محاولة لإضفاء قدسية عليه، أو لعدم كشف أغوار النفس وفضحها، وما يكمن خلف الحب، لأن ذلك يجرد الحب من الهالة الضخمة، التي نسجت حوله على مر القرون والأزمان. فمن لديه الشجاعة أن يعلن لمن يرتبط بها أن الحب وهم كبير، وأن ما يشعر به تجاهها، وما تشعر به تجاهه، إنما هو وهم صنعاه وعاشا فيه معاً؟! ومن لديه الشجاعة أن يقول لأمه إنها تحبه بدافع من أنانيتها، لأنه امتداد لها؟! ومن لديه الشجاعة أن يعلن ذلك، كتفسير لكل علاقات الحب المُدّعاة من قبله أو من قبل الآخرين؟!
ولكي نفهم طبيعة الحب، علينا أن نتتبع رحلته مع الإنسان منذ مولده، لنرى هل هو فطرة خلقت بداخلنا؟ أو أنه وهم نعيشه؟ أو هو شعور داخلنا نسقطه على الآخرين؟ أو أننا اخترعناه لكسر حدة الشعور بالوحدة؟
